In the wake and popularity of television shows and comic books featuring zombies and the dead walking, demand for yellow contact lenses has risen significantly. And don’t forget the blockbuster movies Twilight and Avatar that feature yellow-eyed heros. Yellow eyes are becoming quite popular, for the strangest of reasons: there must be many people who want to look like a vampire, zombie or a Na’vi.
Now, there are two major types of yellow contact lenses. Those with enhancement tints and those with color tints. The yellow contact lenses with enhancement tints are those that have color that is see- through or rather translucent. This makes it possible for the user’s natural eye color to blend well with the lenses. Enhancement tint yellow contact lenses will work well for users who do not want an all yellow look or those users who have lighter eye colors.
The yellow contact lenses with color tints have an opaque yellow part and this makes the user’s natural eye color invisible. Color tint yellow contact lenses makes the users more noticeable. An important point to note is that when choosing either of the two types of yellow contact lenses, the lenses should never diminish one’s vision. This is so because the center of the lenses must be clear even with all the other part being opaque or colored. The clear part of the contact lenses should cover the pupil. The pupil is the eye part that allows light to enter the eye and hence making one able to see. To ensure that the pupil is not shut off the light from outside, the chosen coloured contact lenses should be fitting nicely. Loosely fitting contact lenses often shift and can end up blocking the pupil. Again, when wearing contact lenses users are advised not to operate any machines or drive as such can lead to the contact lenses shifting their position and impeding vision.
